Dr. Szabo was born in Nagykanizsa, Hungary and is a graduate of Semmelweis School of Medicine, Budapest, Hungary. He completed his residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY and completed his cardiology and interventional fellowships at the University of Illinios in Chicago.

Dr. Szabo is board certified in internal medicine, cardio-vascular disease, interventional cardiology and nuclear cardiology. He is fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
